No April Fool’s joke here! I’m actually remembering to upload a drawing. Crazy, I know.

Ya, ya I missed some drawings. I’ve realized if I insist on catching up though, I just get further and further behind cause it’s more intimidating to have to cram in multiples in my tight schedule. And then I make less art and that’s just sad. So I’ll try to keep to one a day but if I miss one here or there, I’ll no longer beat myself about it and just move on. Fair?

Can we all just pretend this isn’t over a week late? That’d be great. :s

Aaaand here’s last Thursday’s. There won’t be more posts today, but hopefully tomorrow I’ll get fully caught up!

Already falling behind. Darn. Well, here’s my 5 min drawing for last Wednesday. It’s a cat’s skull. Not my favourite work, but the point of this project was to get okay with showing work that isn’t finished or didn’t turn out how I wanted. Take that perfectionism!

Two days in a row? Ridiculous. It’s almost like I’m trying to follow a schedule or something! Well don’t get your hopes up too much, we all know my track record :P

Whaaaat? I still exist? Yes. Yes I do. I’ve been absolutely horrible about updating my tumblr the past few months but I have been doing art. So I’ll be slowly uploading those as I get to them. In the meantime, hopefully I can appease you with this 5 minute drawing of a giraffe skull. Totally worth the 6 month wait, right? Right…. :s

This was supposed to be the final triplet for those other geometric drawings I did, but I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it. I’ll sleep on it. Maybe I’ll leave it as is or maybe I’ll make a replacement. We shall see!

Look! Another 5 min drawing finally! Now that I’m back from my trips I’ll try to keep a better schedule and do them daily like I promised I would. I do need the practice! Also, I started working on the final geometric triplet today, so look for that finished piece tomorrow.

This was a small experiment in combining two things I’ve been testing out recently: watercolours and the geometric pen and ink drawings. It was also a gift to someone I know, so I had to wait until she received it to post this. As she is one of the 5 people who currently follow this tumblr, there was a high chance of her seeing it if I had posted it earlier

Here’s a drawing I did back in 2006. It was the piece that spawned my current body of work of bodyscapes. Pretty important stuff. After unearthing this again in 2010, I recreated it in acrylic paint. If you want to look at that one, it’s on my website: http://www.sallybones.com/gallery/3915-Bodyscapes#28369 . (Side note, I will be changing the name of my website eventually. Just so ya know.)

I love when restaurants have placemats you can draw on! Here’s what I drew on my placemat at Frites Alors! in Montreal. I’ll get back to 5 minute drawings when I’m back from my trip! Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about my schedule already

Aha, I found this the other day in an old folder on my computer. It was my first time experimenting with the program Sculptris. I have no idea what I was attempting to sculpt but it turned out rather strange

I decided to make a sibling for that other geometric person. I’m liking them. They’ll probably be triplets soon enough!
